COOKIE POLICY
Explains what cookies are, which types we use, and how you exercise your choices. To be read together with the Privacy Policy.
Legal framework: Directive 2002/58/EC ("ePrivacy"), transposed in Romania by Law no. 506/2004 on the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector, and, in your state of residence, by the corresponding national legislation, read together with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
1. What cookies are
Small files stored on your terminal equipment when you visit a web page. This Policy applies equally to similar technologies: local storage (localStorage, sessionStorage), pixels, tags and device identifiers.
2. What we use
The Platform does not use analytics, marketing or functionality cookies and does not display a consent banner, because it does not install anything that would require one.
Traffic statistics are collected through Vercel Web Analytics, without cookies and without identifying visitors.
3. Strictly necessary storage — no consent required
| Item | Where | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Authentication session (Supabase) | localStorage / sessionStorage | keeping the account signed in | until sign-out |
| Preferences you have explicitly set (for example, hiding the parcel-creation guide, the number of projects per page) | localStorage | honouring the choice you made | until the data is cleared from the browser |
| Payment order in progress | sessionStorage | resuming the order after redirection to the payment processor | current session |
| Secure payment form (PayU) | processor cookies | payment security and fraud prevention | set by PayU |
4. IP address and determination of the applicable tax regime
Independently of cookies, the IP address from which an order is placed is recorded as an element identifying the place of consumption, necessary for determining the applicable tax regime. This processing is based on a legal obligation and does not depend on your consent regarding cookies. Details are set out in the Privacy Policy, Sections 2.2 and 3.
5. Third-party cookies and transfers
Certain cookies are installed by third-party providers, who may act as independent controllers. If they process data outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is carried out on the basis of the safeguards described in Section 7 of the Privacy Policy.
6. How you manage your choices
In your browser: you can block or delete cookies from your settings. Blocking the strictly necessary ones makes it impossible to sign in and place orders.
7. Automated preference signals
VERGO honours automated opt-out signals sent by the browser, to the extent they are technically implemented and legally recognised at the relevant time.
